disclaimer : first, anything seen or read here cannot and will not be held against me in any way. second, you should here if you are a friend or unless you are a blog surfer here killing time. and if you are you're really wasting your time reading a blog of a person you don't know, see right there, that's 3 seconds you aren't going to get back.
now, i'm currently a freshman/sophmore at santa clara university. that has become my home away from home, but then again, i also consider melbourne my home away from home. i love being surrounded by people, even if there's no talking involved. i thank my lucky stars everyday for my friends, my singapore soulmates, my melbourne mates and of course my santa clara family. i have 16 friends which i would do almost anything in the world for and all of them are spread out between these 3 countries. which sometimes makes me sad but then there are the wonders of the internet and mediaring which everyone should use instead of skype *shameless advertising here*
i love music. my ipod is almost my lifeline. television is the source of everything good in my world. i love reading too, although i may not look the type. so basically music, books and television are my life.

i guess it's time for my usual depressing post about leaving home, but somehow i can't bring myself to.

instead here are some unforgettable quotes from my summer buddies...

kj: so when do you get to come back again?
me: december
kj: and you get another 3 months of hols right?
me: wah??

me, sanne, veron and bee lay our towels on the beach.
i lay down on my towel and start tanning, while the rest are still standing around.
me: lie down la
s+v+b: but i have to change.
me: wah?!
they disappear to change and by the time they come back, i'm chao ta.

at the zoo,
lion: ROARRRRRRRRRR!
mel (point to a little merecat in the cage beside the lion) : did that just roar?

outside of zouk, i pass justin my waterbottle and justin takes a gulp.
justin: what was that?!?
me: vodka
j: mixed with...
me: nothing
j: what!!
me: hahahhahaha
j: it's not funny, i was really thirsty.

good times, good times. to one of the best summers of my life. and to the summers that will be even better, when i have my licence. WE'RE GONNA DRIVE TO PENANG! WHEEEEE!

on a 'depressing note':
i wish i was leaving later cause,

my cousin + chris is working this weekend for $9/hour and i really need that kind of money

westlife are coming to singapore!!!! ahhhhhhhh on the 8th (i think) and i absolutely loooove them!

and most importantly, melon is coming back on her b'day, and i won't be here :( love you melon.

A man stood and spoke at the funeral of a friend, he referred to the dates on her tombstone,

from the begining...to the end.

He noted that first came the date of her birth and spoke the following dates with tears, but he said what mattered most of all is the dash between those years.

for the dash represtents all the time that she spent on earth and now only those that loved her know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own, the cars...the house...the cash.

What matters is how we live and love...and how we spend our dash.

So think about this long and hard; are there things you'd like to change? For you never know how much timeis left that can still be rearranged.

If we could just slow down enough to consider what's true and real...and always try to understand the way other poeple feel.

And be less quick to anger and show appreciation more and love the people in our lives like we've never loved before.

If we treat each other with respect and more often wear a smile...remembering that this special dash might only last a while.

So, when your eulogy is being read...with your life's actions rehashed would you be pround of what they hae to say about your precious dash.

back from penang, pictures will come soon, for now i'm clearing emails.

here's an interesting story,

A young Indian guy moves to Montreal and goes to a big department store looking for a job. The manager asks, "Do you have any sales experience?"

The kid, "Yeah, I was a salesman back home". Well, the manager liked the young man, so he gave him the job. "You start tomorrow. I'll come down after we close and see how you did, but let me give you a bit of advice. If a customer comes looking, say, for toothpaste, you might suggest for him a toothbrush, or shaving cream etc. you get the idea?" "Of course," the young man said.

His first day on the job was rough but he got through it. After the store was locked up, the manager came down. "How many sales did you make today?

The kid says, "One"

The manager groans, "Just one? Our sales people average 20 or 30 sales a =
day. How much was the sale for?"

The kid says, "$101,237.64."

The manager exclaims, "What? $ 101,237.64? What did you sell him?"

The kid, "First I sold him a small fish hook. Then I sold him a medium fishhook. Then I sold him a larger fishhook. Then I sold him a new fishing rod. Then I asked him where he was going fishing, and he said down at the coast, so I told him he was going to need a boat, so we went down to the boat department, and I sold him that twin engine Chris Craft. Then he said he didn't think his Honda Civic would pull it, so I Took him down to the automotive department and sold him that 4X4 Pajero."

The manager says "You mean a guy came in here to buy a fish hook and you sold him a boat and truck?!"

The kid, "No, no, no, he came in here to buy a box of Kotex for his wife and I said, "Well, since your weekend's already screwed up, you might as well go fishing."

mood: mad, irritated, wants to strangle someone

i just found out that while i was in bangkok some dimwits decided it would be fun to throw sticks and stuff at my dog champ! my poor baby. the idiots stood outside our gate throwing stuff at champ and taunting him! what the fuck right!

apparently they were drunk and were making noise and toppling garbage bins all over the neighbourhood.

well you fuckers, if you ever do this again we're going to call the police. due to technical difficulties we won't be able to catch you YET. we're working on it, and we will get you and i'll chop off your balls.

this weekend was the best (:

then we went to go watch fireworks at night at raffles. it was so pretty, i love fireworks.

sun...

we went car shopping!! i love the lexus rx 350 (:
in either black/dark green/red with the dark interior, an ipod dock and a gps system (: (so i won't get lost)

thens while my mum was getting her hair colored i went shopping...but was eventually tired of walking and went for a foot massage or rather foot reflexology. it was so incredibly good, just from rubbing my feet he could tell that...

1. i need to drink more water (duh)
2. my tummy has a lot of gas cause i eat too fast (heehee)
3. i watch tv/stare at the computer too much thus i have a stiff neck
4. i do too much walking/stand too much (from china)

well i thought it was cool. if i wasn't leaving in 17 days i would have signed up for the package. next time...next time.

after my last post, yesterday i had an overly productive day.
which has resulted in me totally screwing up my knee.
now i can't bend it, so i'm i can hardly walk or do anything useful.
bah!

anyway....

we rented out the house, yay! more money for shopping every month! whoooo!

IN THE PAPERS
i've been making myself read the newspaper everyday.
well, today i read this in 'today' and thought it was hillarious.

Apparently the pussycats dolls' recent concert in Malaysia was a little too hottt for the authorities. Thus, they have come up with "guidelines for for foreign artistes" that "local sponsers will have to sign...accepting the guidelines before the foreign artistes are allowed in". These are the guidelines...

1. No jumping(!), shouting(!!) or throwing of objects on stage or at the audience.

2. No hugging (?) or kissing the audience, or fellow artistes.

3. No unnescessary baring of skin, which a female artiste needs to cover from the top of her chest to her knees. (?!!!)

4. Clothes should not have obscene or drug-related images or messages. (Finally! I good rule.)

All i can say is that...i guess more bands are going to come to singapore instead! (:

OHOHOH!!! westlife is coming to singapore!!! but, they're coming on the 8th of aug...and i'll be goneee...DAMN IT!

i'm still alive...

been thinking about a phrase i keep hearing these days...
"live your life without any regrets"
but writing all the things i've been thinking about would be too tedious...

i just, going to try not to procrastinate and have the mindset that i always have tomorrow to do the things i want to do.
yeah that's the sum of things.

ANYWAYS...

thank you sanne for the cookies and the reese PEANUT butter candy!
hahahaha
my mum says thanks for the reese

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY!

countdown : 22
